DON’T: Koozies as wedding favors
Every wedding I have ever worked, coordinated, planned or organized where the favors were can koozies the consensus has always been the same…TACKY. If the bride and groom are big beer drinkers and koozies are their thing, then I can understand the significance however I believe having can koozies as your wedding favor can say something about you that is unfavorable.
Following is a blog post I ran across with a differing opinion.

DO: Koozies as wedding favors
To impart a feeling of personalized gesture Koozies can be wonderful idea as wedding favors. They can be bought from the market or can be made by your ingenious ideas too. You can have a picture of two hearts intersected. On the intersection you can imprint the wedding date with a picture of a little flower beneath. This will reflect a notion of togetherness with love all around. Your guests will keep this and you will be remembered in their thoughts and mind. Keep the love alive and spread the togetherness with Love United koozies, and no doubt they are wonderful wedding keepsakes too.

I agree with your disagreement! The only time I can imagine that they would be a good favor is if you had a very casual BBQ wedding with canned/bottled drinks so people could use the favor, the koozie, while at the wedding. Otherwise, that’s the kind of thing my favorite bar gives away as promo items, not as a wedding favor!!! by sweetea

A major DON’T…..a koozie is something that’s given away for free at baseball games, school fundraisers or bars. They are not a good wedding favor. by J’adore

I think they would be great…for a super bowl party or a casual BBQ, but I think they are a bit classless for a wedding. To each their own though… by tigeri42…

My girlfriend did it only for the wedding party….she decorated them with little tiny veils from Michaels, and painted them with our names (nicknames) and just put little decorations on them. They were placed on the table where we were to be sitting. I thought it was cute…but for the guests they made a donation in lieu of party favors, to a charity. I liked it, but she collects them so it was appropriate for her wedding. by snowbunn…

If the wedding is casual and if your friends and family are big beer drinkers then I think the koozie idea could work. by Bride 2 Be

I agree with this:

Don’t give a koozie as wedding favor since it is not unique and memorable gift.
